Crystal and Jace McCarty have come a long way from beginning their brand and creating their gorgeous handcrafted jewelry in their laundry room just three years ago to now creating some of the most sought-after custom collections in the realm of western wear.
Crystal’s journey in jewelry making began her sophomore year of college after attending a beginner’s class in bezel setting where she learned the basics in silversmithing and ignited her passion in the craft. Crystal’s continuous practice in the skill paid off as she began selling her pieces to close friends which then inspired her to create an Etsy page to expand her customer base.
As Crystal’s business began to flourish over the course of a year, her now husband Jace decided to commit his time to the brand and with Crystal’s help was creating designs of his own in no time.
After graduating from Tarleton State University, silversmithing became a full-time job for the duo and they have continued to grow and expand exponentially as the company is now a four-man operation based out of Stephenville, Texas.
“We continuously think of new products, new designs and are truly living our dream,” Crystal said.
The McCarty’s passion for the Western Lifestyle doesn’t stop there, you can also catch them backing into the box at local team ropings.
“…he switched to the heel side so we could rope together. Most people are shocked at the fact that we work together and rope together, in reality, we just like spending all of our time together,” Crystal said.
With team roping being one of the McCarty’s favorite hobbies, horses play a significant role in their lives, so much so that the first horse the couple purchased, Missy, would later become that inspiration behind the Matching Horse Head Pendant. These pendants have become a major staple for the brand and one of their most popular selling pieces.
“I think our horse head pendants are so special to make because each horse has their own story and special meaning to that person. They really are the best way to forever keep you horse close to your heart.”
