Wenda Johnson’s summer run has officially started with two pay days coming her way to not only give her a boost of momentum as things heat up, she is your WPRA Athlete of the Week.
Johnson tied for a second-place finish in North Platte, Nebraska at the Buffalo Bill Rodeo when she stopped the clock at 17.56-seconds. This second-place finish was worth almost $2,000.
Johnson found herself also doing well in Pleasant Grove, Utah when she clocked a 17.27 at the Strawberry Days Rodeo. This cinched Johnson the win by half a second and added over $3,000 to her 2023 season earnings.
Johnson’s pay days have moved her to No. 8 in the WPRA World Standings with $43,693 to her name.
